Busy Busy weekend

I am sorry to report that I didn't make it to the Crossfit Deep WOD this past Saturday. We were running a bit late, and by the time we actually made it to Deep, there was no more parking, and we didn't have any money to pay for parking. So, we drove all the way down there for nothing. :( I was very sad to have missed the WOD, so upset, that I actually cried. I look forward to this every weekend, and was disappointed to have missed it. After a few minutes, I got over it, and had to get ready for game night!

Game night was awesome! Carrie gets along great with Phoenix already, but I was little nervous about everyone coming together since there were 2 new couples that Carrie and Kason haven't met yet. But everyone got along great! Carrie made this fantastic Tres Leches cake, and Scott baked two cherry pies. Yum! If you haven't seen the pics from game night, they are on my facebook.

Sunday, we went to the zoo, and it was fun! I love seeing all the animals. While it is fun, I have an internal struggle with the fun of seeing all these great animals, and the saddness that they are being caged and not having the free area to run around. It's a very fun internal struggle. I like that it makes me think. I know, I am weird like that.

Oh, in other news, in case you didn't know, I am moving in with Phoenix. Yep. I know that it hasn't been that long, but with my lease ending next month, figured it was a good time. And it is an easy transition. I have less than 2 months now, and I get to move stuff gradually so neither one of us gets too overwhelmed. Oh, and yesterday, he told me that he loved me for the very first time. Not trying to get all "high school girl" like, but he's the best thing (minus crossfit of course! LOL!) that has happened to me in a while. Right now, I don't think anything could bring me down from this high! :)

  1. Awwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! Had such a blast last weekend, and I think that's so cute that you cried (not like, I'm laughing at you, but that you're so dedicated to CrossFitting that missing a WOD upsets you that much)! I know what you mean about zoos...I do like being able to see animals but feel bad for their having to be in cages/behind bars/confined. I suppose we can't have both, can we? That's so so adorable about Phoenix saying the "L" word, too! Now we just need to work on getting him to drink some wine...to celebrate, yeah! :)

  2. Yeah, I was not happy about missing the WOD, but it's life. I know that he is going to make sure to try for us to not be late again!!!

Not thinking that we can have both worlds. It would be nice.

It was really sweet when he told me that. For some reason, I was being really emotional Sunday (like, was crying...my hormones are off or something), and he thought it was from something he said at dinner yesterday (about us moving in as a trial period). Which I was not upset about that. He was like, I shouldn't say things like that, because I want you to move in with me. I love you, and I shouldn't say those things. So, yeah, things are going great. And who knows...he could be the one! :)

  3. Awww, Amy, I am so happy for you! That is so sweet. And when it's right, it's right; it doesn't matter about it being too soon. I have been too busy to blog lately, but I'm glad I had a second to catch up on yours to read this great news! :)

  4. Aww, Amy! That conversation about "trial periods" and "test drives" was quite interesting... ;) That's super sweet and adorable, though, plus it's nice that he didn't freak out over your tears. Too many dudes bail if they see us cry! Yeah, it sounds like your hormones are off or something since you cried Saturday after missing Deep, too! Hope you're okay!!!

  5. Thanks Jamie! I totally understand about being busy. And I do think it's right. Things just have been feeling so natural, how could it not be? :)

Carrie, yeah, that was an interesting conversation, but honestly, he can call it whatever he wants, but I know how he feels. He even said he didn't know why he was saying those things, when he obviously wants me to move in, and that's what it is. We are moving in together. :) And yeah, I think the hormones are getting back to being regulated. That and I was about a week late on my cycle, and I finally got my cycle today. We even discussed that I was late, and took a pregnancy test. It came out negative, but it didn't scare us. (we were relieved it was negative) But if it wasn't, we were just going to have to talk it out and see what we wanted. But we are both happy it was negative and my cycle started. We aren't there....yet.

  6. Whoa, a whole week late?!! Shoot, school has had you stressed, girl! I'm glad you're not preggers!! I would have been freaking, too!! I'm relieved for you. :)

  7. Yeah...school has got me stressed. And believe me, I am glad I am not preggers either! We both want kids, but not right now. I have to wait until I at least get out of school. If it had happened this time next year, I wouldn't have been freaking out. Things will work out how they are supposed to!
